Yesterday was a momentous day in the White House with the President welcoming the children of the press pool. Each child was invited to the Oval Office to receive candy from Donald Trump’s own hands.
During the short event, Trump spent some time talking to the kids but what he had to say has left some people scratching their heads.
“I cannot believe the media produced such beautiful children,” the president commented. “How the media did this, I don’t know.”

He then turned his attention to the kids themselves and between commenting on their weight and handing out candy he asked, “Are you going to grow up to be like your parents?
“Mmmmm, don’t answer. That can only get me in trouble.”
“So how does the press treat you?” Trump asked one child as he was doling out the sweets. “I bet you get treated better by the press than anyone in the world.”
At the end of the event, he told the reporters that they had done a “good job” with their children but pointed to himself and said they “hadn’t done a good job here.”
