Al Sharpton says he can help Meek Mill like he helped Tupac

Al Sharpton believes that he can help Meek Mill get out of his unjust prison sentence.

Sharpton met with both Mill and his attorney, Joe Tacopina, on Monday, and he believes this meeting will be the first of many steps toward getting the Philly rapper to freedom.

Among other things, Sharpton said that he would be pushing for the removal of Judge Genece Brinkley, and he will continue to press Pennsylvania authorities in his argument that Mill’s sentence was unjustly long for the parole violations case.

Mill, who was in solitary confinement because of his celebrity status before he asked to be removed from the confinement, is serving two to four years in prison because of parole violations. Sharpton believes that his experience in negotiating during the ’90s to get Tupac out of solitary confinement can come to bear in this case as well.

Time will tell whether Sharpton can get Mill the freedom he hopes for.
