LaVar Ball has reportedly removed his son, LiAngelo Ball, from UCLA.
TMZ Sports reported that LaVar was upset with UCLA for putting his son on indefinite suspension after LiAngelo and other UCLA teammates were arrested in China for shoplifting. The arrests sparked an international incident as American and Chinese power players stepped up to the plate to get the basketball players released, and all the players involved were safely returned to the United States.
When LiAngelo returned to the United States, the university put him on indefinite suspension, a punishment that LaVar believes is unjust because the charges were dropped against his son.

According to TMZ, people close to LaVar say that he thinks “there’s no need to break down a kid’s spirit for making a mistake.”
While TMZ has reported that LiAngelo is not yet officially withdrawn from the school, the basketball player is reportedly remaining home and will not be going back to the school.
However, a family spokesperson also noted that both LiAngelo and LaVar appreciate UCLA for the opportunity to play there and for everything they have done for the family.
