Florida woman faces battery charge after argument over bacon gets physical

Police in Florida have arrested a woman who they say assaulted another woman after an argument over bacon turned physical at McDonald’s on Thursday.

The arrest report shows that deputies pulled into the parking lot of a BP gas station and McDonald’s at about 9:30 pm after hearing yelling coming from that area.

When they got to the scene the driver of a red Nissan attempted to leave the area and almost crashed into the patrol car.

Authorities identified the driver as Winda St. Jean, 24. When they asked the woman what the yelling was about she said she got into an argument with a customer at McDonald’s who has been identified as Edislennis Santana over the quality of the bacon on her sandwich.

The report taken by police goes on to say that Santana came inside after going through the drive-thru and complained that the bacon was not fresh and she knew this because she used to work at McDonald’s.

St. Jean became upset about the way Santana was speaking to her friend and the two got into an argument.

Santana was given fresh bacon and then left the restaurant.

Shortly thereafter, St. Jean also left and as she was going to her car she saw Santana in the car next to hers. The argument began again right there in the parking lot and St. Jean hit Santana in the head just before the cops arrived on scene.

St. Jean was then arrested on a misdemeanor battery charge.
