House Democrats want the Justice Department to hand over evidence that the FBI was politically biased against Hillary Clinton.

Reps. Jerrold Nadler (D-N.Y.) and Elijah Cummings (D-Md.), who are senior Democrats on the Judiciary and Oversight committees, sent a letter on Monday to the DOJ asking that they hand over material about Justice Department leaks while Clinton’s emails were being investigated.

“Our committees are now engaged in an investigation of allegations of politically-motivated misconduct at the FBI,” the letter read. “We have had similar concerns for some time.”

“The facts point to a coordinated effort by some in the FBI to change the course of the Clinton investigation by leaking sensitive information to the public, and by threatening to leak additional information after the investigation was closed,” it continued.

Democrats also questioned whether the conspiracy site “True Pundit” was connected to the investigation. The “fringe conspiracy website” had published several stories alleging that Clinton wasn’t charged because she was favored by the FBI.

The letter was specifically addressed to Attorney General Jeff Sessions and Deputy AG Rod Rosenstein even as Rosenstein is scheduled to testify before the House Judiciary Committee this Wednesday.

Democrats have given the DOJ until Dec. 21 to turn over the material.
