Terry Crews says abuser is having family tracked, suggests his life is in danger

Terry Crews made some explosive claims on Twitter, suggesting that he thinks his sexual abuser is tracking his family online and could possibly try to harm him.

On Friday night, the actor tweeted “My assailant Adam Venit is the founding partner at @WME, a corporation worth over $8 billion. I believe my family is being tracked and possibly bugged.”

Crews went on to say that he believes executives at WME Entertainment, the talent agency founded by his abuser, Adam Venit, asked Russell Simmons to “pressure” him into dropping his sexual assault case.

“Somehow they thought he was the ‘King of Black people’,” he wrote of Simmons, before adding, “Someone hacked into the computer my son and I built together. I have to shut it down and replace the hard drive.”

A ‘timely accident’

What’s more, Crews suggested that Venit or his agency could have a hand in seeking harm against him.

“LAPD task force detectives let me know these people don’t play fair. There are a lot of secrets to protect, and they will do anything to keep them. The town is compromised,” he wrote.

“But me, and my team, are not. If I were to have a timely ‘accident’— you know where to look. Retaliation in some form is expected- I would be naive to think otherwise… But vulnerability and openness is actually my best protection. I’m ready.”

The back story

In October, at the height of sexual assault allegations leveled against Hollywood executive Harvey Weinstein, Crews revealed that he, too, was sexually assaulted by someone in Hollywood

The star of Brooklyn Nine-Nine claimed that at a Hollywood party in February 2016, he was groped by a “high level Hollywood exec.” He would later identify his alleged abuser as Venit, who has represented the likes of Eddie Murphy and Adam Sandler.

In an interview with Good Morning America, Crews said Venit stared straight at him and made “overtly sexual” moves with his tongue.

“I’m looking like, ‘Is this a joke?’ I mean I don’t understand, it was actually so bizarre,” Crews said. “He comes over to me. I stick my hand out and he literally takes his hand and puts it and squeezes my genitals. And I jump back like, ‘Hey! Hey!’”

“And he’s still licking his tongue out and all this stuff, and I go, ‘Dude, what are you doing? What are you doing?’ And then he comes back again! And he just won’t stop,” he added.

Crews said after he pushed Venit away, he began laughing and giggling.

“I have never felt more emasculated, more objectified,” Crews said. “I wake up every morning wondering, ‘Did this really happen?'”

In November, Crews officially filed a police report with the Los Angeles Police Department against Venit.

Venit has since been placed on leave while Crew’s allegations are investigated.
