Tylon, 5, adorably calls 911 to stop Grinch from stealing Christmas

A 5-year-old boy in Mississippi was concerned that the Grinch would steal his Christmas. So, he called 911.

Tylon Pittman saw the Grinch stealing people’s Christmas presents on his phone and got worried. After all, what if the Grinch came to his house? What if the Grinch stole his presents?

He couldn’t let that happen. So, he called 911, and the police responded to make sure the concerned little boy knew Christmas was safe.

‘The Grinch is not going to steal your Christmas’

Tylon’s brother, TeDera Dwayne Graves II, posted the video of the police officer interacting with his little brother to Facebook.

The officer who responded reassured Tylon that Christmas was safe.

“What are you going to do if he tries to steal your Christmas?” she asked.

Tylon said that he would stop the Grinch and “take him to jail.”

The officer then told Tylon that he was a “big boy” and that she understood that he was trying to look out for everybody’s Christmas. They even shared a high five.

The officer admitted that she hadn’t heard the 911 call, but she knew the gist of it, and she was here to make sure young Tylon wasn’t scared on Christmas.

In another video, the boy showed the police officer the evidence: the Grinch stealing Christmas presents on video on his smartphone.

“I just want to tell you the Grinch is not going to steal your Christmas, okay?” the officer promised him.

It looks like the reassurances worked, too, because he can be heard to say “okay” on the video before walking away.

Pittman’s mother, Teresa Brown-Pittman, said that she couldn’t believe her little boy had called 911.

“He calls people all the time,” she told local television station WLBT. “If he gets your number, he’s going to call you and blow you up; but to dial 911, oh my God, no.”
