Janet Jackson and Jermaine Dupri reunion sparks rumors of reconciliation

Janet Jackson and Jermaine Dupri might be considering getting together again, according to a source at People.

After Jackson’s State of the World tour ended on Dec. 17, she attended an exclusive after-party in Atlanta. That’s where People’s source said the two of them “were cuddled up in a private booth holding hands.”

“They were in a private area at her exclusive tour wrap party,” the source said.

Jackson, who split from Wissam Al Mana in April and had been fighting him in court over custody rights ever since, split from Dupri in 2009. But now, they might be reconnecting.

“They didn’t speak for years until about a year ago,” the source said. “[Dupri] felt like he had wronged her. But they reconnected and he was there for her as a friend while she was going through her messy breakup.”

They’re not a couple, though

They aren’t officially back together, though. For now, they’re just enjoying each other’s company and reconnecting, People reported.

“They are taking their time, getting to know each other again,” the source said.

It seems the source would love to see them get back together, noting, “When they were together, Janet had never felt as good as when she was with him.”

E! News also reported that Jackson and Dupri are reconnecting but not necessarily dating.

“Janet is single,” an insider told E! News. “She is good friends with Jermaine. They share a very close and beautiful bond. He’s been there for her and she loves that about him. Anything can happen in the future but right now she has a lot on her plate.”

“She is doing great and feeling great on her tour,” the E! News source added. “Her baby is by her side as much as she can allow it. She has people helping her out. She looks great and is always so grateful to everyone that helps her and works with her. She is very pleased how everything is going on tour.”
