Morgan Freeman was honored with the Lifetime Achievement Award at the SAG Awards on Sunday night and his whole family was in tow for the big event.
“These moments in one’s life usually would call for an entire litany of thank yous. I can’t do that because I don’t know all of your names, so I won’t try,” he said from the stage during his acceptance speech…“This is beyond honor, this is a place in history.”

Freeman was introduced by his friend and former co-star, Rita Moreno. The pair first worked together in 1971 on the children’s series, “The Electric Company.” In 2014, Freeman presented her with the same honor.
“Morgan is way more than just an actor, narrator, producer, humanitarian. This man is a national treasure,” she said before calling him up to the stage.
The actor took time to joke (we think) that the coveted trophy he was holding posed a bit of a problem.
“I wasn’t going to do this; I’m going to tell you what’s wrong with this statue,” he said during his acceptance speech. “It works from the back, but from the front, it’s gender specific. Maybe I started something.”
Morgan Freeman had his swag on full display throughout the night, brining his entire family down the red carpet before the show began and donning a black baseball hat along with his tux.
