On Sunday night, John Legend and Chrissy Teigen announced that they’re having a baby boy.
Just after the Grammy Awards, Teigen took to Instagram with the good news. She posted a picture of herself with her hand on her baby bump along with the caption, “Mama and her baby boy.”
This is the second child for Teigen and Legend, who are proud parents to adorable daughter Luna. Teigen announced the happy news that the celebrity couple was expecting in a cute Instagram post in November.
The video Teigen posted to announce the pregnancy included her daughter and was simply adorable.
“Luna, what’s in here?” Teigen asked the little girl about her stomach.
“Baby!” Luna answers.
The post even has a cute caption: “It’s John’s!”
Legend also commented playfully on the post writing, “Maury will have the final word on this.”
The couple got married in 2013 and welcomed their first bundle of joy, daughter Luna Simone Stephens, in April 2016.
A long road of infertility to get here
Chrissy Teigen has been open about her struggle with infertility and discussed trying to have a second child via frozen embryo transfer in an interview with InStyle.
The model and TV host said that she and her husband started the process with 20 embryos. After genetic testing, only three of the embryos were deemed normal and healthy.
“The first little girl didn’t work, and then the second is Luna,” Chrissy Teigen said in her interview.
In January of this year, she shared with fans that the last embryo is a boy.
“Since this is coming up again, I said our next baby would be a boy because that is the embryo we have left. A boy. So. Yeah,” she tweeted in response to people speculating she was pregnant then. “And no, I am not pregnant.”
We’re so excited for these two to grow their family, especially given how hard they had to work to become a family of four.
Congratulations, Chrissy, John and Luna!
