Parkland, FL High School Students Return to School
Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School students return to classes today, two weeks after a shooting left 17 of their classmates and staff dead. It will not be a full day. Today’s school session will be just four hours as the students and staff try to return to normalcy.

Jared Kushner’s Security Clearance Downgraded Amidst Russia Probe
Chief of Staff John Kelly downgraded the security clearance of President Donald Trump’s son-in-law Jared Kushner. This happened while Robert Mueller continues his Russia investigation and while the Washington Post released a report about countries looking to exploit Kushner’s lack of experience for their benefit.

Ethiopians Say Wakanda Not a Far Cry From Reality
People of the African diaspora have rejoiced about (and bought tickets for) Black Panther. Ethiopians in particular though seem extra proud of the film, feeling that their own country inspired Wakanda, a hidden mountain kingdom that had remained uncolonized in spite of Europeans occupying various nations throughout Africa. Technically, Ethiopia was never colonized, but was occupied by Italy at one time. A number of Ethiopians have taken to social media to point out the similarities between Wakanda and their homeland.

LeBron James says NCAA is ‘corrupt’
Cleveland Cavaliers star LeBron James made it clear Tuesday that isn’t happy that college basketball players aren’t paid for their talents. “The NCAA is corrupt. We know that,” he said during a Cavaliers shootout. Sorry, it’s going to make headlines, but it’s corrupt.” James went straight from high school to the NBA, so he never participated in the NCAA system, but he says he understands what the college athletes bring to the table and how much money the universities earn from that talent/labor.
