A Black history teacher and football coach showed a lot of restraint after a white man lunged at him and called him racial slurs following a road rage incident in Georgia.
Terrence Stover told police that Eric DeKeyzer cursed him out with racist taunts when he stopped at a traffic light in Johns Creek, Georgia.
“He rolls his window down and he starts saying a lot of racial slurs and shooting me birds, middle finger and stuff like that,” Stover told Channel 2.

Stover is a coach and U.S. History teacher at South Gwinnett High School, and because of his job, he says he tried to avoid a confrontation with DeKeyzer.
Stover reportedly pulled into a shopping center parking lot, only to have DeKeyzer hurl the n-word and other profanities at him.

But Stover showed enough restraint to pull out his cellphone and record the exchange, which shows an angry DeKeyzer calling him derogatory names.
“You called me a n***** for no reason,” Stover is heard saying in the video.
“Yeah because I knew it would get a f***ing rise out of you because you’re acting like one,” DeKeyzer is heard saying in response in the video.
The video footage was enough proof for cops to handcuff DeKeyzer and haul him off to jail for the road rage incident.
DeKeyser was arrested and it was also found that he had a knife on him.
“It’s shocking that it was so blatant,” said Terrence Stover, who recorded the slurs being said at him. “It’s wrong and it’s hurtful.”
Stover says he handled the situation in the way he would want his children to deal with racism.
“I teach my kids not to fight unless you’re defending yourself,” said Stover. “I just pray people think before they do.”
