A brave fan slid into Michael B. Jordan’s DMs—and it worked!
Sylvia Wilson is inspiring social media users everywhere to shoot their shot.
Earlier this week, the 21-year-old Temple University student, found the courage to slide into Michael B. Jordan’s DMs after hearing he was on campus filming Creed II.
And much to the surprise of everyone on the internet he not only responded, but agreed to meet up with her and her friends.
Her plan was simple and respectful: she offered to get him a smoothie in exchange for a picture.
“It was hot, and I didn’t think it’d be appropriate to ask to buy him a drink, so I opted for a smoothie,” Wilson told BuzzFeed.

In another interview with Huffington Post Sylvia Wilson admits she didn’t expect her innocent message to ever work. “I didn’t think he’d actually respond but I really wanted to meet him. I almost passed out when I realized he messaged me back. I kept rereading the message not believing it was really him.”
After a bit of small talk, the actor invited the brave college student to come by the set to take her pic—no smoothie required.
For a moment her hopes of meeting Jordan were dashed when security gave her a hard time. But he was chivalrous and came over to where she was to let them know she was an invited guest.
“He was so sweet and nice,” Sylvia said. “He was more than happy to take pictures with me and my friends that came with me!”
Wilson posted photos with the actor on Twitter on May 1, telling her followers, “so I slid in his DM’s, and then this happened.”

Not surprisingly, the tweet has since gone viral, with fans swooning and asking her questions about their encounter, along with advice on how to have the same success.
“He smelled like Mahogany Teakwood from Bath & Body Works but better,” Wilson shared, noting that people keep asking about the actor’s scent.
Now people are saying they’re inspired to “pull a Sylvia.”
