It’s official: our forever President Barack Obama is the G.O.A.T!
According to a Pew Research Center, 44 percent of Americans chose Obama, our 44th President, as their top pick saying he did the best job while serving in that role, reports 11Alive.
Bill Clinton came in second at 33 percent and Ronald Regan came in third at 32 percent. President Donald Trump got 19 percent to place him in fourth place. He came in ahead of the Bushes, John F. Kennedy and Franklin Delano Roosevelt.
Ain’t no way.
During his historic presidency, Pew took the poll and at the time Obama only got around 20 percent of the favorable vote.
The new survey was conducted from June 5-12.
The survey though, has a lot to do when the person being survey lived. According to 11Alive.com “millennials (born 1981 to 1996) were the most likely to choose Obama, with 62 percent naming him as their first or second choice. Reagan was the top pick for Generation X (1965 to 1980), baby boomers (1946 to 1964) and the silent generation (1928 to 1945).”
Can we just point out Trump being picked over Roosevelt is a travesty? (We’re going to need the millennials to Google him!)
It’s surprising that Trump’s numbers were so favorable considering that this many in this country stand in strong opposition of his policies.
During a recent Democratic National Committee fundraiser in Beverly Hills Obama weighed in on America’s toxic state of affairs and gave an eye-opening speech urging supporters to join the movement and take a stand, according to the Hollywood Reporter.
“This is a moment of great urgency and you are right to be concerned,” Obama said.
We want our Obama back!
