Former President Barack Obama wants Donald Trump to put some RESPECT on the Queen of Soul’s name.

Well, at least we wish this parody of our forever President singing the Aretha Franklin classic was in reality a confrontation with Trump after he so disrespectfully made claims in his sympathy message that Franklin once worked for him.

Alas, we can dream, thanks to YouTube’s “baracksdubs,” which shared the hilarious clip on Saturday featuring a string of Obama words mashed together to form the lyrics of the soulful jam.

“I never would have expected to release this dub, which I started on months ago, under these circumstances, but I hope you and everyone who loves the Queen of Soul enjoys this video,” the creator added. “We love you back, Aretha.”

Check out the parody diss track below which begins with a poignant quote from Franklin:

While we’re certain Aretha Franklin never “worked” for Donald Trump, she still did alright for herself, managing to win 18 Grammys and selling more than 75 million albums throughout her career.

She has been a beloved figure in the entertainment industry for decades and turned out 112 charted singles, 17 top 10 pop singles, and 20 No.1 R&B singles. Her 1967 hit “Respect” is the ultimate civil rights and feminist anthem and will forever be known as her signature song.

The tributes continue

Many people have shared touching tributes of what Aretha Franklin meant to them after the Queen of Soul passed last week. Namely, in an indelible and tender moment captured on video and shared by her granddaughter, Victorie Franklin, we see that Franklin was a sweet grandmother as well.

Victorie uploaded a grainy home video of Franklin to Twitter as her grandmother played the keys and hummed a sweet tune. Looking relaxed and in her element, Franklin played away as Victorie watched like she was a fly on the wall. At the end, Franklin ends her impromptu piano playing by throwing a kiss Victorie’s way.
