In the world of politics, President Trump’s former lawyer Michael Cohen has pleaded guilty to eight counts of tax fraud, false statements to a bank and campaign finance violations.
President Trump tweeted that Cohen wasn’t apart of his campaign but a former White House aide, Omarosa Manigault Newman, dropped a video with MSNBC that says otherwise. The clip was from a September 2016 campaign rally in Cleveland. Omarosa also says Cohen organized the particular trip and even met with the President.
And in Chicago, Chicago police say at least 58 people were shot this past weekend–six of those shooting victims died including two teenagers found dead in a field with gunshot wounds. During a press conference, Chicago police superintendent Eddie Johnson says legislative changes are needed to help combat the gun violence.
And as we continue to the mourn the loss of the Queen of Soul, Aretha Franklin, news broke that the legend left behind an 80 million fortune and had no will. It’s been reported that everything will be equally divided between her four sons.
Is planning for life after death something we don’t talk about enough?
