LeBron hires extra security to safeguard his home and family amidst Hollywood burglaries

LeBron James has added extra security at his L.A. home after learning he was was the target of an L.A. bling ring.

The LAPD arrested four people who hit more than 24 homes including the mansions of some of your favorite celebrities like Yasiel Puig, Rihanna, Christina Milian and others.

Cops say the burglars had a list of 12 more A-lister targets including LeBron, Matt Damon and Viola Davis.

TMZ reports that James acted swiftly to ensure his family’s safety. Sources tell the outlet that the superstar baller star has hired security guard services in order to add 10 unarmed security personnel to his staff, some of which are off-duty police officers. The NBA’s security team is also reportedly involved in creating a more heightened security strategy around James, his family and their home. No details about what measures James is taking to further secure his house have been made available.

L.A. Rams star Robert Woods was also a victim of a burglary and is said to also be working closely with the NFL’s security team as well.

Tyress Lavon Williams, 19 , Damaji Corey Hall, 18, Jshawne Lamon, 19, and Hall’s mother, Ashle Hall, 34, were arrested in connection with the burglaries, LAPD told NBC Los Angeles.

Officers believe there are more people involved in the burglary crews and they’re asking the public for leads to track down additional suspects. Homeowners who are also concerned about their security may consider hiring a security guard and installing advanced surveillance systems in their property.

James, who is a father of three, is taking the situation very seriously. He previously noted after the N-word was painted on his property a little over a year ago, “No matter how much money you have, no matter how famous you are, no matter how many people admire you, being Black in America is tough.”
