Precious Harris, the sister of rapper T.I., died on Friday, ten days after she suffered an asthma attack following a car accident.
Harris, 66, was involved in the accident in Atlanta on Feb. 13 where, according to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, she hit a pole and that triggered an asthma attack. It is not known what caused the accident.
Harris, who was the rapper’s half-sister, often appeared on T.I.’s VH-1 show Family Hustle. After the accident, work on the show was halted. T.I.’s wife, Tameka “Tiny” Cottle, posted a photo with Harris on Instagram last week, asking for prayers.
“Anybody that really know me knows how special & how much I cherish & love this lady, my sister @preciousharris1913 Pls pray for my sister & family. She’s a true fighter…always have been & God has the last word,” she said in the post.
Harris was taken to ICU and had been placed on life support for the past week. Her daughter, Kamaya Chapman, made the somber announcement on Instagram.
