Rapper Offset, who has had his share of marital mess-ups with Grammy winning artist Cardi B, might actually be a better man now and that’s coming from someone who has first-hand knowledge; the mother of his oldest daughter.
According toTMZ, Shya L’Amour says she was surprised to hear the Migos rapper spit lyrics in his Father of 4‘s title track that touched on his relationship with their daughter, Kalea. The lyrics read:
Kalea, you my first, first daughter
I missed the first years of your life, I’m sorry
Tell the truth, I ain’t really know if I was your father
Tell the truth, I really don’t even know your mama

Those lyrics didn’t sit well with L’Amour at first since it seemed Offset was placing the blame of not having a relationship early on with his daughter because he wasn’t sure of the child’s paternity.
L’Amour insists that Offset is reaching with his “I ain’t really know” excuse.
“When I first heard the lyrics, it was just like… It was hurtful,” she continued.
L’Amour has since changed her tune and apologized for that statement, confessing that she’s actually proud of Offset’s growth, which she credits partly to his wife.
“I was really talking out of emotion when I did that Live, so I apologize for that. But yeah it was hurtful. And I had no heads up or nothing, I didn’t get a call afterwards, I heard it at the same time the world did.”

“Since he’s been with her he’s definitely,” she said. “I’ve seen a lot of growth…. She has a really good heart.”
She said about her daughter Kalea’s relationship with her dad: “Oh she loves him,” L’Amour told TMZ. “They’re really good now. He has stepped up, he has been around to show her that affection that she needs.”
Offset changes cover for “Father of 4” album
The on-again, off again relationship between Offset and Cardi B has led to changes in both of their lives including an unlikely one: the cover of his new album.
Shortly after Cardi ended their marriage following frustration over his infidelity, she posted the first picture of their daughter Kulture on Instagram. That image was supposed to have been for Offset’s upcoming album, Father of 4.
“The album cover was originally going to be the debut of Kulture’s face, but that obviously changed when Cardi decided to post a pic of Kulture right after she split from Offset,” according to Us Weekly.
Offset then decided to feature all four of his children on the album’s cover instead. The image features Offset sitting on a black throne with Kulture on his lap, surrounded by his two sons, Jordan, and Kody along with his older daughter Kalea, 3.
