Lost within his numerous legal issues of alleged sexual assault, R. Kelly is also in deep trouble with child support.

TMZ is reporting that Kelly — who said this week he has $350,000 in his bank account — plans to file a motion to lower the amount of money he owes in child support.

On the same day of his bizarre interview on CBS This Morning with Gayle King, the 51-year-old Kelly was sent back to jail for failing to pay $161,000 in child support to his ex-wife, Drea Kelly. The arrest occurred barely a week after he was bailed out of jail by a Chicago daycare owner on his outstanding sex abuse charges.

Once filed, the judge would review the case and issue a ruling, which could take several days. There’s also no guarantee the motion would be granted. If that isn’t granted, Kelly would once again have to scrape together the $161,000 he owes.

During his now infamous interview, Kelly publicly blamed his ex-wife for his failure to pay child support claiming her “lies” about his abuse are the reason he can’t make any money. He also claimed during the interview he’s trying to reconnect with his kids, but he allegedly hasn’t reached out to his family in well over a year.

Drea has accused Kelly of allegedly abusing her emotionally and physically during their marriage, claiming he once “hogtied” her and left her on their bed reports Page Six.

Last month, Kelly was indicted by a Chicago grand jury on 10 counts of aggravated criminal sexual abuse involving four victims, three of who were under the age of 17. Earlier this week, new allegations in Detroit arose from a 2001 sexual misconduct incident with a 13-year-old girl.
