A Texas resource officer seen on video hulking over a teenage girl who he allegedly threw to the ground at school is now under investigation.
The incident reportedly began after the Cedar Ridge High School student was allegedly embroiled in a fight on a school bus last Friday, according to KXAN.
Students at the Rock Round school started filming when a school resource officer confronted the girl.
In the video, the officer can be seen grabbing her, wrapping his hands around her neck and throwing her to the ground. She was eventually taken into custody.
Chief Allen Banks said police are looking into the officer’s use of force. He has also been removed from working at the high school.

The school’s principal Jiae Kim released a letter to the community:
“My administrative team, along with district leaders, is working with Round Rock Police to fully review the situation, what led up to it, and how it was handled. The safety of our students and staff, as well as the emotional wellbeing of our students, is of paramount importance to us. We strive to create a campus environment where students feel safe and protected at all times and appreciate our partnership with law enforcement who help us accomplish this goal.”
Police are also reportedly investigating the student’s actions based on another video circulating on social media that allegedly shows her attacking another girl on the school bus.
