According to Travel +Leisure actress Viola Davis had the perfect view of Hawaii as she faced her fear of skydiving and jumped 12,000 at 100mph drop.
“Loved it!!!” Davis wrote on Instagram. “As a smart woman once said, ‘Courage is fear said with prayers.’ “
The How to Get Away with Murder star admitted she was “feeling a little anxious” but still went through with it anyway. “My will is done — signed, sealed, delivered, and witnesses. As long as you’re not nervous, I’m fine!”

Once Davis finally jumped out of the plane she hollered “Holy s–!” followed by “This is how we do it”, the chorus from Montell Jordan’s 1995 hit song.
The entire experience was filmed by the staff at Big Island Gravity. The company flies customers over several waterfalls and beaches prior to exiting the aircraft in Hawi, Hawaii.
“I’m ready. I’m alive,” she said to one of the workers at Big Island Gravity filming her.

Davis also took to Twitter to share her accomplishment saying “So….I jumped out of a plane. Yup. I did it. 12,000 ft and 100mph drop. It was awesome and the ultimate exercise in letting go, tackling my fears and freedom.”

Maintaining a sense of humor Davis jokes “Glad I didn’t wear a wig,” and “Forgive me for my cuss words and jacked up hair,” she said.
