Despite being a holiday staple for the last quarter century, Mariah Carey’s hit song, All I Want For Christmas just hit No. 1 on Billboard for the first time ever.
Carey was only 24 when she released the Christmas classic in 1994 as part of her “Merry Christmas” album, and now at 49, the song has literally been around for half of her life. It’s used by the artist as an annual Christmas season kickoff, which has also been covered by Ariana Grande and Cee-Lo Green, according to CNN. Previously it had peaked at No. 3 on the chart.
