Fabolous, Emily B debut newborn daughter: ‘Life is a journey’

Rapper Fabolous and his longtime girlfriend Emily Bustamante showed off their newborn daughter in an Instagram post on Sunday. 

Journey Isabella Jackson is the couple’s third child together, and Bustamante has an elder daughter from a previous relationship.

The photo of the adorable baby girl was posted on Bustamante’s page with the caption, “Life is a Journey.” She also tagged the baby’s own Instagram page, which is private. 

In her Instagram Story, the mom also shared a photo of herself happily holding her new daughter while still in the hospital. 

Bustamante and Fabolous, whose real name is John Jackson, welcomed their daughter into the world on Oct. 10.

The couple announced that they were expecting a daughter in June. The rapper shared a sonogram photo accompanied by the words, “Girl Dad,” a phrase made popular by late NBA star Kobe Bryant. In the caption, Fabolous wrote, “Got the best gift ever for Father’s Day!” Bustamante shared the same image in her IG Story with a pink heart.

In 2018, the couple had a domestic violence incident that was captured on film. Reportedly, the Grammy Award-nominated rhymer hit Bustamante in the face multiple times, knocking out her two front teeth. He was later charged with one count of domestic violence with significant bodily injury, two counts of threatening to kill and one count of possession of a weapon.

Fabolous ultimately participated in a pre-trial intervention program, which he completed without any additional incidents.

In September, the couple shared photos from their baby shower. He posted the photos on Instagram with the caption, “My Daddy planted a seed… My Mama watered me wit a plan to succeed.” 

A clip of the couple’s eldest child, 22-year-old Taina Williams, tending to her little sister has also made rounds on social media. 

Fabolous’ domestic violence history trended again this weekend on Twitter after a blogger posted a photo of the couple with the caption, “Note To Women: Mr. Right won’t be perfect, but he will love you perfectly through your imperfection and show you what love truly is.”
