During the Thursday season finale of Fox’s The Masker Singer, the Firefly, who turned out to be Teyana Taylor after being unmasked, was chosen as the winner.

Taylor’s Firefly impressed judges and voters when she sang Usher’s “Bad Girl” early on in the final episode, and again when she sang her winning performance of “Lost Without U,” originally recorded by The Masked Singer judge, Robin Thicke.

The Firefly, the Ringmaster, and The Prince were the final three characters in the reality show’s season seven finale.

The “Gonna Love Me” singer outlasted the runner-up, the Ringmaster, who was revealed to be Hayley Orrantia, singer and actress from the ABC comedy series The Goldbergs. Coming in third place was The Prince, who was unmasked as Broadway actor and singer Cheyenne Jackson.

Taylor explained to host Nick Cannon that she chose to compete on the popular show because she was excited to “just be able to sing again.”

“It would be fun again and there’s no judgment. Nobody knows who’s behind the mask. You just get to sing your heart out,” Taylor said.

Throughout the season, Taylor performed songs like Michael Jackson’s “P.Y.T. (Pretty Young Thing),” and Rufus and Chaka Khan’s “Ain’t Nobody.” Other contestants this season included Shaggy as The Space Bunny, Jennifer Holliday as Miss Teddy and the vocal group En Vogue as Queen Cobras.

Taylor is not the only reality show winner in her household. In the November, her NBA player husband, Iman Shumpert, won season 30 of ABC’s Dancing with the Stars.

Taylor will embark on the second leg of her tour The Last Rose Petal 2…The Farewell Tour, which will start at the Something in the Water festival in Washington, D.C., on June 19.

The 19-city tour, which Taylor said will be her final tour before retiring from the music business, will also reach cities like Los Angeles, Pittsburg, Houston, Nashville, Denver, and Charlotte.
