On Thursday, President Obama’s re-election arm released a trailer for a 17-minute documentary that praises the president’s tenure in office.
The Road We’ve Traveled, which will be formally unveiled next week, is narrated by actor Tom Hanks and directed by Davis Guggenheim, the man behind the critically-acclaimed films An Inconvenient Truth and Waiting for Superman
The Road We’ve Traveled features Obama as he makes a series of complicated decisions, from bailing out the auto companies to authorizing the killing of Osama bin Laden. Key administration figures such as former White House Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel are also interviewed.
The film is the biggest move yet by Team Obama in an effort to reestablish the same enthusiasm among Hollywood and the arts community that helped make his 2008 campaign so unique.
