Obama shouts out Young Jeezy at White House correspondents' dinner

President Barack Obama has never been one to distance himself from his love of hip-hop and at the White House correspondents’ dinner he proved it once again. In a room filled with stars from the worlds of politics and entertainment, Obama joked that while he was singing Al Green during his first term, if he gets elected to a second he’ll be blastin’ rapper Young Jeezy.

He then turned to the first lady and jokingly said “I sing that to her sometimes.” While that joke may have been over a good portion of the older crowd’s heads, it did make waves on social media and Twitter.

While Young Jeezy wasn’t in attendance to hear the acknowledgment live, he did respond through via Twitter account saying, “Shout out to @BarackObama.” The “Trap or Die” rapper then followed that tweet up by saying “You know they love the snowman in the white house #Turntup.”
