DMX says Drake is dishonoring Aaliyah

DMX is once again making it clear that he is not a fan of Drake. He previously compared the young rapper to a washing machine because, according to the veteran artist, all of Drake’s songs sound the same. In a recent interview with AllHipHop.com, DMX said that the Lil Wayne protégé has dishonored the late Aaliyah’s name by making her new album Posthumous and not including the artists that she is best known for collaborating with.

DMX said:

“It just show what I said, [Drake’s] a f**king piece of sh*t… you didn’t even know this woman; you were in middle school… What the f**k gives you the f**king right? Allow Aaliyah to live on and not include the people she always worked with, not include the recipe…It’s wrong, honor her legacy, honor what she did. You don’t have no right to make it yours. If you’re going to allow it to live on, do it in a manner that honors what she did. Respectfully.”

Other close friends and collaborators of Aaliyah’s have shared a similar sentiments, saying that Drizzy should be working with the people who knew and worked with the “More Than A Woman” singer personally.

In a recent interview on the Breakfast Club, Timbaland said, “I know they trying to drop some Aaliyah records, but if he do it, it should be with me and Missy. The proper way for him to do that would be for me, him and Missy to be all on the record. But to put it on his record, would just not be right.”

Aaliyah’s brother even said, “There is no official album being released and supported by the Haughton family.”

How will the Thank Me Later artist’s Aaliyah project fare without the support from the late singer’s family, friends and past collaborators?
