Obama supporters give the president tips to win debate

Following the first presidential debate in Denver, Colorado, the media almost unanimously crowned Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney as the winner against President Barack Obama.

Some Obama supporters thought the president’s debating style was lackluster, and even the president himself has said he was “too polite.”

Obama is set to battle it out with Romney again tonight — this time in a town hall format, which allows the audience to ask the candidates questions directly.

TheGrio hit the streets to ask voters how they think the president could improve his performance this time around.

“I would suggest that my president goes after Romney,” said Tuta Rowlett, who volunteers for the Obama campaign office in Mount Vernon, New York. “He doesn’t have to be a pitbull to do it, but hit him on those key questions.”

Another passerby, Ronald Fields also had some words of advice.

“I think he needs to look [Romney] in the eye and let him know what he’s done and what he’s going to continue to do for the people of America.”
