Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith to host Michelle Obama fundraiser

Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith’s Malibu mansion will be the venue for first lady Michelle Obama’s fundraiser this Thursday.

The superstar couple, along with other Hollywood celebrities like Salma Hayek and Lady Gaga’s manager Troy Carter, will be hosting the $2,500-a-person lunch fundraiser, and for $40,000, attendees can also get their pictures taken with the first lady, and partake in an exclusive meet and greet, according to reports from the New York Daily News.

It was also reported that the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s deputies had accompanied federal agents on Monday in what was described as a routine survey of the Smith’s 150-acre property to ensure that there is adequate security for the event happening later this week.

Will Smith, an avid supporter of President Barack Obama, has said in the past that he had no qualms with the president’s tax plans that calls for higher taxes on the country’s top earners. Back in May, the A-lister said was willing to have his taxes raised.

“America has been fantastic to me. I have no problem paying whatever I need to pay to keep my country growing,” said Smith.
