2016: Obama’s America, the controversial and undeniably conservative documentary which aims to link the president with radical international politics, will be broadcast for free in swing states like Ohio and Pennsylvania, according to Think Progress.
Although the film, spearheaded by embattled right winger Dinesh D’Souza, performed well at the box office, it received scathing reviews and was largely debunked by fact-checkers.
The Washington Post reported that the film’s message amounts to “Obama hates America” and called it “fear-mongering of the worst kind.”
The cable provider that is airing the film is Armstrong Cable, whose Chairmen of the Board has donated thousands of dollars to Mitt Romney’s campaign for the presidency.
“This is the first time the cable provider has offered such a deal for a recently released feature film,” an Armstrong executive boasted in an interview with the Pittsburgh City Paper.
Think Progress reports that “Armstrong cable is available in over 50 cities and towns in 10 Ohio counties.”
