The last time Beyoncé performed the National Anthem at major televised event was in 2004 at the Super Bowl.
So much has changed since then. The former Destiny’s Child member is now a wife, mother, and arguably one the most iconic pop stars in the world.
We are only a few weeks into 2013, and she is already dominating this year’s entertainment news cycle.
Today Beyoncé belted out the Star-Spangled Banner after President Barack Obama took his second oath of office.
For many viewers of the televised event, the Grammy-Award-winning singer was the musical act headlining the 2013 presidential inauguration.

The 31-year-old Houston-born singer also graces the cover of February’s GQ magazine, which is on newsstands now, and has already generated substantial buzz around the world after her sexy photo spread hit the web days ago.
In two weeks, Beyoncé will take center stage again, headlining her highly-anticipated Super Bowl halftime show.
According to recent reports, the “Diva” singer might be planning to make an even bigger splash on Super Bowl Sunday by reuniting with former Destiny’s Child members Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams.
Beyoncé will also cash in big this year from her highly-publicized $50 million dollar Pepsi endorsement deal, coinciding with the Super Bowl, which includes an upcoming TV spot for the soft drink.
Later this year she is expected to release her untitled fifth solo studio album.
