Limbaugh: Christie and Obama have a ‘master-servant’ relationship

Right-wing radio host Rush Limbaugh has frequently sung New Jersey governor Chris Christie’s praises, but like many conservatives he is irked by the Republican’s seemingly chummy relationship with President Barack Obama.

Yesterday, the president and Christie appeared together at the boardwalk on the Jersey Shore to tout the area’s recovery in the wake of Hurricane Sandy.

Limbaugh seized the opportunity to make some of his trademark incendiary remarks.

“Obama has money,” Limbaugh said on his radio show. “Governor Christie wants the money. Governor Christie needs the money, so the people will be helped,” referring to the many folks who are still struggling to recover from the storm.

“So, Christie praises Obama,” Limbaugh added. “It’s a master-servant relationship.”

In the past Limbaugh has claimed that the president roots for natural disasters because they will be beneficial to him politically.

“I’ll guarantee you Obama was hoping this was going to be a disaster as another excuse for his failing economy,” he said in 2011 following Hurricane Irene. “If he’s out there blaming tsunamis, blaming earthquakes, this one [was] made to order, but it just didn’t measure up.”
