It’s unofficially Yeezy season.
Though its official release date isn’t until next week, Kanye West’s sixth album Yeezus leaked today on the Internet, sending the hip-hop world into a frenzy.
The 10-track album is among one of the summer’s most highly anticipated albums and social media immediately began to debate if Yeezus was a classic or a dud.
Kanye claims Yeezus is a departure from the soul sample rap production that he made him a household name, and a transition into a “black new wave” sound he’s beginning to embrace.

Fans have already heard the news singles “New Slaves” and “Black Skinhead” on Saturday Night Live earlier this month and rest of Yeezus is helter skelter sonically.
This isn’t your College Dropout-era Kanye. In Kanye West’s varied discography, Yeezus is the emotionally distant cousin of 808’s and Heartbreak.
