The government shutdown has entered its second week. Meanwhile, President Barack Obama and first lady Michelle Obama have kept themselves busy in the White House.
In a special 4-minute documentary video taped by a crew at the White House, called “West Wing Week” or “The Shutdown Edition: Week Two”, we can get a glimpse of the first couple’s activities.
While President Obama was occupied with press interviews and calling on the House to re-open the government, the first lady made personal visits to workers in the White House’s West Wing on Wednesday.
Although the majority of the staff has been furloughed, Mrs. Obama greeted employees who were still on duty and thanked them for their hard work and dedication.
