Beyoncé covers Time's '100 Most Influential People of 2014'

Beyoncé is on the cover of Time magazine’s ‘100 Most Influential People of 2014.’

The superstar closed out 2013 by surprising the world and dropping a self-titled album mid-December.

Sheryl Sandberg, author of Beyoncé’s article, said the 32-year-old’s secret is “hard work, honesty and authenticity.”

This is Beyoncé’s second year in a row on the list, and she also officially released her video for the single “Pretty Hurts” with Time magazine today.

Funny men Keegan-Michael Key and Jordan Peele also made the list. In his write-up for Key & Peele, Judd Apatow said “these guys are crazy funny.”

Apatow is currently working on a screenplay with the duo, in the hopes of creating a movie in the future.

In a properly titled piece, “The performer whose sound now blankets the world,” author Justin Timberlake sings the praises of fellow music industry giant Pharrell Williams.

“Maybe that’s why he still looks younger than the rest of us,” Timberlake said. “Yep … Pharrell Williams is having way too much fun.”

12 Years a Slave director Steve McQueen was selected for the list.

“It really feels collaborative and exploratory to work with him,” said Lupita Nyong’o, who won the Oscar for Best Supporting Actress for her role in 12 Years a Slave.

This year’s list also included the likes of President Barack Obama, Attorney General Eric Holder, NFL player Richard Sherman, tennis star Serena Williams, actress Kerry Washington, NBA player and LGBT activist Jason Collins, and so many more.
