NBC has announced the celebrity cast for the seventh season of Celebrity Apprentice.
Donald Trump, the show’s host, told Matt Lauer this week who would be on the show when it kicks off on January 4, 2015, with the first episode of a two-night premiere. Trump indicated that there would be 16 contestants on the show.
Two people from the Real Housewives shows made the cut, with Kenya Moore of the Atlanta edition and Brandi Glanville of the Beverly Hills version slated to join the cast. Former NFL star Terrell Owens will participate, as will reality star Kate Gosselin.
Moore is rumored to have been involved in a number of incidents with other contestants during the filming of the series earlier this year.
Other contestants include Kevin Jonas, Ian Ziering, Geraldo Rivera, Sig Hansen, Leeza Gibbons, Shawn Johnson, Johnny Damon, Vivica A. Fox, Keshia Knight Pulliam, Jamie Anderson, Lorenzo Lamas and Gilbert Gottfried.
Trump also revealed that Joan Rivers, winner of an earlier season of Celebrity Apprentice, would appear in two episodes of the upcoming season that were filmed before her death. Piers Morgan, who won show’s first season, will be featured as an adviser.
Celebrity Apprentice raises money for charity, and has managed to raise $14 million over its previous seasons. In the interview, Trump told Lauer that, “This season of The Celebrity Apprentice is on point to be the best yet. With 16 extraordinary contestants bringing their energy to the boardroom, it is sure to be a hit, as always.”
