Tyrese Gibson is making celebrity activism a family affair.
The 35-year-old Fast & Furious star took part in a protest Saturday in Los Angeles for a staged “die in” in wake of the recent grand jury decisions to clear police officers in the deaths of Michael Brown and Eric Garner.
Tyrese was joined by his 7-year-old daughter, Shayla, as well as by fellow Hollywood actors Brandon T. Jackson, Kevin McCall, and Logan Laurice.

He later took to Instagram to express his comments about the protest, saying, “Stand for something or fall for ANYTHING — my little angel arms was wrapped around my neck I’m here to TEACH HER she has a VOICE and that if she has a problem don’t just talk and type — strap up your boots and get in these streets — #HumanRights.”
