Earlier this month, news broke that Mayweather was FaceTiming with his distraught friend right before Hayes stood up, went to the bathroom and shot his wife, “Hit the Floor” star Stephanie Moseley, ten to twelve times while she lay in the bathtub.
The fatal dispute was caused by Hayes’ paranoia about his wife’s repeated infidelities — including an alleged tryst with R&B crooner Trey Songz.
Even after overhearing the murder-suicide take place, Mayweather has reportedly decided that Hayes’ family still deserves a proper burial and has agreed to foot the bill. There has been no word yet on if the boxer will also be paying for Stephanie Moseley’s funeral, set to take place in Canada on Friday.
Haye’s funeral is set for today.
