A young Georgia teen has taken to the Internet in order to criticize President Obama for his support of Ahmed Mohamed.
Young Ahmed recently made national headlines after he was arrested for bringing a homemade clock to school. The teachers and administrators at his school accused him of having made a bomb, and his story caught nationwide attention as many people pointed to it as a prime example of Islamophobia. People around the country expressed support for Ahmed, including the president, who even invited the teen inventor to the White House.
But Coreco JaQuan Pearson, the national chair of Teens for Ted, a group of kids expressing support for Republican candidate Ted Cruz, said that the president’s priorities in invited Ahmed to the White House are way off.
“When cops are gunned down, you don’t invite them to the White House. You never did. But when a Muslim kid builds a clock, come on by. What is this world you’re living in?” he said in a video rant that has since gone viral.
Pearson went on to call the president “ignorant” and “incompetent” and said that his time would be better spent in fighting against the “domestic terrorists” of the Black Lives Matter movement.
