#ThrowbackThursday: Vivica A. Fox slams Stacey Dash for Mitt Romney endorsement

Stacey Dash is in the news for all the wrong reasons again. This time for sticking her foot in her mouth and saying that we need to do away with BET and Black History Month.

Last week, Dash challenged the #OscarsSoWhite boycott, calling it “ludicrous.”

“We have to make up our minds,” Dash said. “Either we want to have segregation or integration. And if we don’t want segregation, then we need to get rid of channels like BET and the BET Awards and the (NAACP) Image Awards, where you’re only awarded if you’re black.”

Four years ago, Dash received considerable criticism after endorsing then-Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney.

In a 2012 interview with theGrio, Vivica A. Fox gave Dash a quick read in less than 1 minute. It was amazing and deserves to be our #ThrowbackThursday interview of the week.

“I don’t know why she [Stacey Dash] had to do a photo shoot in a Baywatch red swimsuit with the boobs and the whole flag behind her,” Fox said. “And she doesn’t have a job or something to promote right now. I just didn’t get it. She’s entitled to her own opinion, but it was just surprising that first of all she was a Republican and that she did it the way that she did. Most politicians when you support them, you try to support them with class; you don’t need to do a swimsuit shoot.”
