Interracial couple stabbed by white supremacist for kissing

On Tuesday night, a white supremacist apparently became enraged at the sight of an interracial couple kissing.

Daniel Rowe, who had recently been released from Washington State Penitentiary in Walla Walla, walked up to the two and yelled a racial slur before stabbing the man, who was African-American, in the hip. The woman was also grazed.

“The suspect is unknown to the victims and the attack appears to have been unprovoked,” police said in the statement.

The victim didn’t realize how badly he was injured and chased after Rowe. The man “tripped him up,” according to Lt. Paul Lower, a police department spokesman, and Rowe fell to the ground and hit his head, falling unconscious.

Lower said that Rowe’s behavior only became stranger as the police put him in the back of a patrol car.

“He tells them, ‘Yeah, I stabbed them. I’m a white supremacist,’” Lower said. “He begins talking about Donald Trump rallies and attacking people at the Black Lives Matter protest.”

Rowe had several white supremacist tattoos, including some that read “skinhead,” “white power” and “hooligan.”

“This has all the hallmarks of a hate crime,” Deputy Prosecutor Joseph Wheeler said. “This black-and-white couple was simply expressing their love for one another.”
