Nkrumah Pierre knows the value of an introduction.
“They say that you never have to work a day in your life, when you do something that you love, something that you’re passionate about,” says Pierre. “So for me, connecting individuals and getting paid for it is a dream.”
Pierre is the founder and CEO of PLG Consulting, a boutique consulting firm, which connects its clients with the perfect business opportunities.

After starting his career in recruiting for a large firm, Pierre was a standout, making The Network Journal’s “40 Under 40” professionals list. But he had his own vision to run a company and set out to start PLG in 2013.
“A lot of times in business or just in your personal life, people make empty promises,” says Pierre. “That’s one thing that for me is a pet peeve. So I cannot promise a client something and not deliver.”
Connecting isn’t as easy as sending a Facebook request or hitting ‘follow’ on Twitter. It takes a sharp personality, keen observation skills and undeniable confidence— qualities Pierre learned early through first-hand experience.
–Ken Gibbs Jr. is a ‘Leader of the New School’
Born in Manchester, England, Pierre grew up in Queens, NY in a predominantly black and Latino middle-class neighborhood. When his family moved out to Long Island, he entered a neighborhood that was predominantly white.
Pierre made friends no matter where he went, learning the value of transcending boundaries and valuing people. Now, it’s what he does for a living.
“My dad always used to say, if everyone goes left, I want you to go right,” says Pierre. “So if you’re bucking the trend, be a disrupter. Just be a pioneer.”
Nkrumah Pierre is a Leader of the New School for charting his own path in business and connecting others to find their destiny too.
