TheGrio.com’s ‘Obama 44’ Coverage: The final 44 days of a historic presidency

The 44th President of the United States officially has 44 days left as commander-in-chief.

To commemorate the end of President Obama’s time in office, theGrio.com will publish a series of op-eds, galleries, videos and reports that aim to lend perspective and understanding to a historic presidency.

“Obama 44” will feature commentary from notable political scholars and former Obama staffers and will highlight some of his most iconic moments through both original and archival video.

The election of Donald Trump will present an extraordinary test to Obama’s legacy — Obamacare, foreign relations, climate change, LGBTQ rights, financial regulations and much more.

Check back to our special section from now until January 20 for complete coverage of how President Obama helped shape America from his election in 2008 to his ultimate exit next January, 2017.

Send us your memories, photos and anecdotes about Obama’s time in office at Obama44@thegrio.com. We’d love to hear from you.
