Trump signed executive order without knowing exactly what it did

On Sunday, the New York Times reported that there is turmoil in the White House as not only is the president frustrated with the poll numbers in response to his executive orders but he is also apparently upset that he was not fully briefed on what his orders did.

Apparently, Trump didn’t quite understand the order that put his top adviser, Steve Bannon, on the National Security council.

Per the Times: “Mr. Bannon remains the president’s dominant adviser, despite Mr. Trump’s anger that he was not fully briefed on details of the executive order he signed giving his chief strategist a seat on the National Security Council, a greater source of frustration to the president than the fallout from the travel ban.”

But despite the president’s frustration and anger, Bannon will stay on, and the administration is pressing forward.

“We are moving big and we are moving fast,” Bannon said. “We didn’t come here to do small things.”

After a couple weeks of turmoil and record low poll numbers, Trump called his advisers into the Oval Office with a pointed question: “What are we going to do about this?”

“I think, in his mind, the success of this is going to be the poll numbers. If they continue to be weak or go lower, then somebody’s going to have to bear some responsibility for that,” said Chris Ruddy, the chief executive of Newsmax Media.

“I personally think that they’re missing the big picture here,” Ruddy added.“Now he’s so caught up, the administration is so caught up in turmoil, perceived chaos, that the Democrats smell blood, the protesters, the media smell blood.”
