Boston paper tosses Obama’s name in hat to replace Harvard president

On Wednesday, Harvard president Drew Faust announced that she would be stepping down, and already, rumors are swirling about who her replacement will be.

Then, on Thursday, the Boston Globe published a short list of possible candidates to replace Faust, including former President Barack Obama.

The Globe pointed out that Obama was an alumnus at the school and that he had headed up the Harvard Law Review, adding that the critique Obama had seen as president that he was “too professorial … might be a plus at Harvard.”

“It’s not leader of the free world — but heading one of the world’s premier universities could hold lots of appeal,” the Globe continued.

Of course, Faust’s replacement hasn’t been chosen yet, so we’ll just have to wait and see who it is, but we can definitely see where the Globe is coming from on this one. What do you think, Grio fam?
