The woman who recently accused Nelly of rape has requested that the case be dropped and she says she has no intention of testifying.
The accuser’s lawyer, Karen Koehler, says that her client told the Auburn Police in Washington State, as well as the King County D.A. to “put a halt to the criminal investigation of [Nelly]. She will not testify further in a criminal proceeding against him.”
According to Koehler, her client feels as though the system has failed her and that she is in no position to stand up to someone of Nelly’s celebrity status.

“Who will believe her. People are saying horrible things already. She cannot handle this. She is about to break.”
Her client was especially upset by the fact that police let it be known to the media that she met with police and prosecutors because she had been told no one would know about the meeting until the investigation had been concluded.
Nelly’s lawyer, Scott Rosenblum has now commented, saying the accuser’s “reckless accusation, once investigated thoroughly, was exposed for what it was, a fabrication. A fabrication that has caused Nelly and his family to suffer emotionally and financially.”
He says that his client wants a public apology and he will be recommending to Nelly that he take legal action against the woman.
