Luther Vandross was outed as gay after his death.

Wendy Williams had tough words for Ashanti while weighing in on the singer’s recent controversy.

The singer got into an argument with Joe Budden about her clothing choices after Budden suggested that she looked like a stripper and that was why a fan had thrown money at her during a performance.

Ashanti shot back that she had been wearing a body suit and that there was no reason she should be treated like something she is not.

However, while on her daytime talk show, Williams had a difference of opinion. She argued that the R&B star wasn’t making money because of her music but because of her body.

“40 something at this point. Nobody cares about her music, 37, same difference. You are – and I didn’t call you a stripper – I call you an exotic dancer. And I agree with what Joe was saying, Ashanti just take it for what it is. Nobody’s buying your music. Nobody cares about your music. You’ve got a beautiful body, and you’re using it to make your bones. And that is a fact, jack,” Williams said.
