Meghan Markle still has several months before her big day but she’s already scoring swag as a royal fiancé to Prince Harry.
According to PEOPLE, the royal family always releases an annual rundown of gifts they have received and Meghan Markle got her first gift in November.
Meghan’s future brother-in-law, Prince William, accepted the gift on her and Harry’s behalf while on an official trip to Finland in November and you may be surprised that wasn’t a blinged out tiara.
Turns out, Meghan’s first “royal gift” was an apron.
An apron? For real?
Engagement Chicken Strikes Again
We’re guessing the gift was inspired by the couple’s infamous “engagement chicken” story. The pair revealed they got engaged while preparing dinner and watching television together. They were cooking a roast chicken on a “cozy night” when Prince Harry finally got up the nerve to ask for her hand.
“It happened a few weeks ago, earlier this month, here at our cottage; just a standard typical night for us,” Harry told the BBC.
“We were just roasting chicken…Trying to roast a chicken and it just — just [was] an amazing surprise, it was so sweet and natural and very romantic. He got on one knee,” she said.
Considering the couple loves to cook together, the apron could likely come in handy. But we’re also wondering if the gift of an apron for such an accomplished actress, blogger and humanitarian was a tad sexist?
No word if Prince Harry received his own apron to cook for his bride-to-be.

Royal Rundown
The rest of the royal family fared better in the swag department. Princess Kate reportedly picked up several handbags, earrings and dresses last year while The Queen received several gifts, including the Union Jack flag from Major Tim Peake’s space suit and a fancy purple dog bed for her pooches. She also picked up some glitter ball ornaments for her Christmas tree. The list also highlights toys and books, lollipops and coloring books that were gifted to Princess Charlotte and Prince George while their dad, Prince William, received a vase, knitted booties, and several books.
