On Tuesday, Donald Trump will give his State of the Union address to Congress. But ahead of the speech, Twitter is far more interested in the typo on some of the tickets to the speech.
According to several pictures of the misprinted tickets, the invitation were to the “State of the Uniom.”
The tickets, issued by the Office of the Sergeant at Arms and Doorkeeper, went out to members of Congress and their spouses.
–If Trump doesn’t say these 5 things at SOTU, we don’t want to hear sh*t–
The typo didn’t go unnoticed
One of the people who received a ticket with the spelling mistake on it was Rep. Raul M. Grijalva, a Democrat from Arizona. Grijalva couldn’t resist the chance to take a shot at the administration, specifically Education Secretary Betsy DeVos, and took to Twitter with the typo.
“Just received my ticket for the State of the Union. Looks like @BetsyDeVosEd was in charge of spell checking… #SOTUniom,” he tweeted.

According to a source in the Sergeant at Arms office speaking to CNN, it’s not clear how many tickets were affected, since the typo was caught fairly quickly, and many tickets were replaced before they were even picked up by the ticket holders.
The tickets that did have the typo were exchanged for the corrected versions or are available to be swapped out ahead of the speech, according to a second source.
Still, that didn’t stop Twitter from having a field day with the typo, with some likening it to the other infamous mistakes the Trump administration has put forward. There were references to “covfefe” as well as plays on other misspellings. Basically, Twitter saw the tickets as a perfect symbol of an administration full of errors.
Check out some of the best of the Twitter roasts below. As for the State of the Union itself, that is set to take place on Tuesday at 9 p.m. ET.
Republicans may have to recall all State of the Union tickets because they say “Uniom” not “Union,” per two Dem aides. pic.twitter.com/FosSnznIHp

If this isn’t a metaphor for the State of our Disunion then I don’t know what is. Trump’s #SOTU ticket spelled “uniom.” pic.twitter.com/AYqo2ebCGM
